This year's theme:

Cultivating a Flourishing Faith

Theme Leader

Rev Leslie Newton

Born and raised in Lancaster, Leslie studied Accountancy and Law at the University of Manchester before training and qualifying as a Chartered Accountant. His local Methodist Church, in Torrisholme, Morecambe, nurtured his faith over the years, encouraging him to grow and develop through welcoming and encouraging his contributions through music, youth work and later in preaching. Leslie was accepted for the Methodist Ministry in 1995 and met his wife Gill, at Wesley College, Bristol where they both trained. They were married in 1996 and became parents to Laura in 2000. Prior to becoming Chair of the Yorkshire North and East District in 2017, Leslie served in circuit ministry in Barnsley, Stockport and York. He is also currently Chair of the Methodist Church’s New Places for New People Enabling Team and serves as a Trustee of Fresh Expressions. In September 2023, Leslie published Revive Us Again, a book that explores how John Wesley, founder of the Methodist movement, achieved extraordinary impact, and sets out how, by reclaiming Wesley’s message and methods, the 21st Century church can once again be the catalyst for spiritual and social transformation.

Holiday Forum is a heady holiday mix of faith, fun and fellowship.  This year, you’re able to attend in person, or book in to share in parts of the programme virtually.

faith

A place and a time for spiritual adventure, discovering what following Jesus means for us today!

fun

Fun, games and competitions are a huge and important part of Holiday Forum – after all, it’s a holiday!

fellowship

Holiday Forum is the place to arrive as a stranger, make friends, and leave as part of a new family!

WHY PEOPLE KEEP COMING BACK TO FORUM - IN THEIR OWN WORDS

People come to Forum… and then keep on coming back, year after year. Then they bring their children, and their grandchildren, too.  Meet some of our members, and listen to their stories.  You’ll discover people like you – and why so many families decide to make Holiday Forum their annual multi-generational  summer holiday.

The hayes

We meet  at The Hayes Conference Centre in Swanwick, Derbyshire. The  Centre has been beautifully  renovated with all the rooms  now en suite.  Enjoy the beautiful grounds and recreation facilities, and the Peak District, which is right  on your doorstep.

We won’t spam you, either!
