Although there is no swimming pool on site, there is one not far away in Alfreton which can easily be reached by car.

A variety of the items are available at the well stocked tuck shop including sweets, postcards, stamps and books and gift items, and a Bar is open before lunch and evening dinner and from 9pm. Around the centre are tea and coffee making facilities, and there is a soft drinks machine outside the dining hall. There are also a few small shops in Swanwick, including a chemist.
