The Hayes Conference Centre is a Christian Conference Centre set in its own grounds in Swanwick, Derbyshire having lawns, woodland and a lake. It has family rooms (Main House), single and double rooms (Main house and Lakeside), and twin rooms (Alan Booth and Main House). Lakeside and Alan Booth have ensuite facilities and all rooms have washbasins. Rooms designed for the disabled are available in Lakeside and Alan Booth, and a covered walkway links all buildings.
Also on site are a playground, labyrinth, chapel, lake, games room, and several halls and meeting rooms.
The centre is near to many local attractions, including the Peak District National Park, Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall, Matlock, Bakewell, Crich Tramway, and the American Adventure Park. Although there is no swimming pool on site, there is one not far away in Alfreton which can easily be reached by car.
A variety of the items are available at the well stocked tuck shop including sweets, postcards, stamps and books and gift items, and a Bar is open before lunch and evening dinner and from 9pm. Around the centre are tea and coffee making facilities, and there is a soft drinks machine outside the dining hall. There are also a few small shops in Swanwick, including a chemist.
The Conference Centre is only 5 miles from the M1 (Junction 28), and can also be reached by train (with a taxi ride from either Derby or Alfreton) and bus. Full instructions on how to get to the Hayes will be provided in the booklet that is sent to all Forum attendees a few weeks before the conference.
