Background and purpose<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The bursary fund was set up from donations received from\nattendees of the URC Holiday Forum to ensure that those suffering from\nfinancial hardship are not excluded from attending annual URC Holiday Forum events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Income to the fund<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The fund receives income from donations from those attending\nURC Holiday Forum. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Expenditure from the fund<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Expenditure is in the form of reduced prices for attending\nthe Holiday Forum event. No will be made in accordance with the terms of\nthe application process below.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Management of fund<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The current URC Holiday Forum treasurer will be responsible\nfor ensuring that the fund\u2019s income and expenditure is recorded accurately and\nin line with this policy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The URC Holiday Forum Steering Group (or nominated\nsub-committee consisting of no less than three members of the Steering Group)\nshall make all decisions with regard to the approval of applications for\nfunding. These decisions should be recorded and communicated to the applicant\nwithin two weeks of the decision.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n Application process and reductions\navailable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n In order to assist families to come to Holiday Forum the\nbursary fund will be used to discount the overall price for a family based on\nthe numbers of children in that family attending, by the following percentages:<\/p>\n\n\n\n This discount is to be applied unconditionally unless waived\nby the individual family.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Separately from this anyone wishing to attend the annual URC Holiday Forum event may apply to the bursary fund. This must be in writing (letter or email) either to the current treasurer, secretary or convenor of the URC Holiday Forum Steering Group. The letter\/email should state the total amount of the booking at full prices without Conditions of applications<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The following conditions apply:<\/p>\n\n\n\n (a) All applications are for one URC Holiday Forum event only\nand may not be carried forward or transferred to any other individual\/family\/household;<\/p>\n\n\n\n (b) Any individual\/family\/household may only receive a\nreduction from the bursary fund for a maximum of 2 consecutive years. However, this condition may be waived if\nthe individual is willing to work during the week (for example, leading a\nchildren\u2019s group)<\/em>;<\/p>\n\n\n\n (c) The maximum reduction available is 50% of published prices\n(as published in booking forms);<\/p>\n\n\n\n (d) Any previous debts must be settled prior to application;<\/p>\n\n\n\n (e)\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Applications must be received by 1st July in each year;<\/p>\n\n\n\n (f) No backdated applications or late applications will be considered;\nand<\/p>\n\n\n\n (g) All applications will be assessed and a decision taken by\neither the Holiday Forum Steering Group or a nominated sub-committee of the\nSteering Group.
